The Paradox Of Emotions
The Paradox Of Emotions
How did the sorrowful wind,
Sway into the city of happiness?
Why do our emotions have a rind?
Why does grief seem endless?
The king's joy knew no bounds,
When unto him a son was blessed and born;
A soldier then lay dead on the battlegrounds,
Whether to celebrate or mourn?
The complaint of the kid about the bag being heavier,
Collided with the ears of the daily wage child laborer,
"Is the weight of that thing so severe?"
"Or is my life's just inferior?"
Sometimes I think there is a clear border,
Separating these two worlds,
But then again I ask; How did the sorrowful wind,
Sway into the city of happiness?
