The Mirage
The Mirage
As I rode my cruiser on the desert trails,
I kept my eyes fixated on the horizon,
The sempiternal and cragged sand dunes,
the undying heat of the sun aroused my alter ego,
Underneath the scorching heat and the oh-so gentle zephyr,
I found myself humming to a melody,
that was long obliterated from my mind,
Then a most unforeseen event befell upon me,
I saw to my left a group of nomads herding sheep's and camels.
They gestured to acknowledge me,
Miles past, the only thing between me
and the oblivion was an undersized cactus plant,
The plant had its arms grown in the most bizarre form,
it appeared as if, it was beckoning me to ride
forward and reach my destination,
Unfortunately for me, I did not know where to stop.
