The Lavender

The Lavender

Sing to me, oh Lavender.

With your effervescent floral notes

Transcending the shores of time

As I drink to your lilac shrine

Of summer chimes, and angel's breath.

Sing to me, oh Lavender.

Of vineyard dreams beneath a cinnamon sky

As you wrap me around with your sibylline hues

Of celestial fantasies in mauve and blues.

Whisper to me, oh Lavender.

Secrets of your fragrance sweet

That creeps and crawls and consumes my being

Wafting through my purple veins

Magenta plums and poems galore

Fragmented dreams in a sudden downpour.
