The Lamp...
The Lamp...
Echoes of bullets lost in the sound of crackers
Many brave hearts lose their lives to keep us safe from the attackers
The mourning of few brought smiles for billions
These courageous martyrs traded their lives for peace for civilians
Love of their land made them take-up weapons
And yet their names are lost in some random news, in some random books’ lessons
The valorous son says with pride, “I have no regrets losing my life for the sake of my country’s integrity…
Thousand lives I’ll give away happily for sake of its prosperity…”
As with teary eyes, the final good-bye is said
And those words of demise are dread
Looking at his family a soldier says, “Don’t cry on my death…
Just light a lamp for every son with a smile, who fought for his motherland until his last breath…”
