Void and hollow, mysterious and infinite,
The lady that resides behind my vanity.
The stares returned, with identities unmasked
The scars revealed, with wounds in between,
Gnaw at me, scratch till I bleed, shed me off of my own skin;
Pity the old skin at my feet,
Embrace my change that I made within.
The lady that resides behind my vanity:
Let your crystal tendrils crawl into my bosom
And calm the monster in me,
Sprinkle on me the scent of windflowers
Cheer for me as I sprint around with triumph clasped in me;
Hold my stare as time paints wrinkles on me,
Confront the lies that I speak to me,
Gaze at me and witness as I abandon all my insecurities.
