The Jungle Law
The Jungle Law
Every living creature
Has been bestowed
With self surviving
Arrangement by the nature
At the cost of
Someone else’s life.
Once a woodpecker with
Sharp beak to save
Hatchlings, engraved a nest
On a high tree,
Finding first attempt
Foiled by a serpent
To make the way
To the nest slippery
By striking, making sticky
A lengthy snake was
Staring at the prey,
Climbed, found difficult,
Slipped, fell down
Directly into the wide
Open hungry jaws
Of a waiting crocodile
