The Girl Behind

With her tender face with the parted lips,

Like the way she was parted from her husband,

With her hair tousled and the cold winds slapping her face,

With the path before fading away,

Like the hope she had been holding all along,

All that was left of her,

Was the inner peace fighting the bloodshed sll around,

Looking at her wedding ring with a ray of hope,
