The Gift

Once there lived a little boy,

Strong, brave and fearless.

His smile had a golden touch,

And had a heart filled with love.

Days went by, he grew up...

A fine young man, madly in love,

With dreams in his eyes

To grow old with her,

And go back to the countryside,

After he retires.

He had big plans to celebrate the love that year...

After all, the 14th of February was almost there.

On Valentines' night,

He wandered in his lover's dreams...

With crimson roses pinned to his shirt,

And face glowing in glee...

"Wait for me, tomorrow sweetheart,

I will return home.

And will bring with me the most precious gift,

That I can carry along."
