The Gender!!

Gender equality begins at home!

Something we have heard all along,

N definitely not unheard or unknown.

Yet gender inequality to its height,

Is something we face day in and night.

A male born is looked up to and is a delight,

Welcomed with joy along with definite birthright.

Could we say the same for the birth of a female?

Unfortunately, it's altogether a different tale.

Why is the female considered a burden?

Abused, confined and treated as a sex organ.

As a society, 

we have separated the two.

Ignoring the fact that each has, 

both aspects in them, albeit subdued.

Such ignoramous labels are expanding the gap,

Mother Nature is suffering due to this slack.

The times and tales of yore,

Kindly listen, read and explore.

One will learn of the perfect (wo)man,

Who can embrace and accept the masterplan.

A perfect balance of the two,

And a synergy between the two,

Can lead to a harmonious world,

That is definitely long due.
