The Drunken Moon In Love...
The Drunken Moon In Love...
The moon was drunk in the choicest wines,
Who gave company throughout the times
As he rubbed the deep black mark on his face,
Mourning all while in his deepest thoughts.
Till he fell for the belle twirling around,
She came out of nowhere in such elegance.
In a beautiful blue gown with clouded frills,
As her starry eyes twinkled brightly in a thrill.
Their eyes met and imprinted for awhile,
So did they share a gaze and a smile.
The crickets whispered all while long,
Of the heavenly affair that went strong.
The moon reached for the night sky,
And they swayed deep into the forest by.
As the cicadas hummed the song of legacy,
The fireflies showered lights on their way.
The trees, the animals and the sleepy birds,
Stood witness to their intense love.
As time passed by did the beauty realize,
That her dark blue gown was burning down.
It was time for her to leave the drunken one,
She kissed him as her tears fell on his forehead.
And the night sky gave up to the twilight ahead,
He was awake but she was nowhere to be seen.
As he felt the dew on his forehead, he knew,
The sweet scent of her kiss made a mark new.
He never mourned of the dark mark on his face,
As he beamed in her love throughout the night.
Hiding behind the daylight waiting for her,
The drunken one still shines in love so pure.
With the starry night sky all to him,
Their love still ignites in the darkest of skies.
