The Deathbed Of Glory
The Deathbed Of Glory
They lived for the pride
Of the Indian flag
Now,in their ride
to heaven, they are wrapped in the same flag.
For our lives, they denied their personal lives,
For our security, they stand on the borders with their hearts on their sleeves.
They held up their heads
So that ours wouldn't be down,
So that we could sleep safely in our beds,
They lost their valentine.
They made their world dark
So that our world would shine,
They sacrificed their future
So that ours could be fine.
They were the proud sons of our land
From their beginning to their end,
They lived for our land
And died for our sand.
It doesn't make sense to thank God as we are alive,
We must thank the martyrs because of whose fearlessness we can fearlessly be alive.
They were the sun who'd arose
And provided light to moons and planets,
Now the moon should rise,
As the sun has set.
They fought till their last breath,
That's why we call it a sacrifice, not a death.
