The Crying Child

Child, oh child, why are you crying?

This is the only life live it happily,

Set the alarm of joy and let it ring,

See life cheerfully, son!

Find the remnants of faith,

Find the pieces of delight,

Turn into ashes the palace of sadness and grief,

See the crumbling mansion of fright.

If darkness surrounds you,

Do not be afraid,

If faith in Thy's true,

He will come to your aid.

What grievances do you have child?

Nothing seems right, is it so?

Even a plank of wood can stay afloat,

But you have your own boat with enough cargo to row.

If the waves crash,

Resist them,

If the winds lash,

Overcome them.

Set a motive for life,

But don't chase it blindly,

Set a particular time,

For joy, fun and poetry.

Find your deepest desire,

Follow the direction which the compass shows,

Ignite the inevitable fire,

And put inside all your woes

(The child stops crying)

This is it, child!

You have understood the true meaning of life,

Now every trouble; severe or mild,

Will never turn into a strife.
