They Will Say
They Will Say
They will say I raised her...........
Yet she was step-moved by mother nature
After every door she knocked was shut in her face.
They will say I clothed her.........
Yet her tattered and patched clothes that have outsized her speak differently of what is said.
They will say I schooled her......
Yet her quest and determination for education is teary even to they who say.
They will say I fed her
Yet her thin, malnourished and out of health body is proof there is a different story to tell.
They will say I 'housed' her......
Yet she calls the streets 'home'
With her beddings-box cartons and freezing cold floors of shop verandas.
