Betrayals...

I trusted them and opened myself up,

Sharing my secrets like some tea in a cup,

I laughed and cried, believing they would stay behind,

But people change- from kind to mean and mean to kind.... 

I doubt my sole existence now,

For my heart is aimed by the arrow in a bow,

With the passing moments, my days have turned rough,

And my long nights seem unbelievably tough....

Some betrayals are hard, whereas some are heart shattering,

I am still in thought about which was the one, you gave me,

For my heart still shows me those golden memories,

When I close my eyes, amidst the lost merry...

I wish I could turn back the wheel of time,

And rectify the unknown mistake of mine,

If that meant having you back,

With bittersweet memories weighing more than a sand sack....
