The Broken Angel

One night I dreamt an angel in white;

With broken wings pleasant and bright!

A lonely heart on a condemned land,

She was lonely on a beach of yellow sand.

A trickling pain on her glowing eyes:

A thought in mind with high sighs;

There I found a man in shepherd dress

Blessing the girl with his twinkling bless!

He paved a way of faith and hope

And tied our destiny in a single rope.
