The woman was dressed as beautifully as a bride should,

She was adorned with jewels and flowers had taken bath using sandalwood,

She was wearing red garments with shiny bangles and royal footwear,

The family and friends were gathered with all their love and care,

At last the time came for divine and final rituals,

The bride was carried outside the door among the present circles,

The bamboo was tied with careful attention and strength of the last goodbye with wailing chimes,

This bride was leaving not just the house but the body that she had been carrying over lifetimes...
