The Ballad of A Queen

She told everyone she was a queen,

The people laughed when they heard her,

You are nothing but a has been,

You are just like us a commoner,

The children of the city followed her,

They asked her, tell us your story,

She looked at them and said, I am not a commoner,

I too had my days of glory.

The children sat around her to listen,

As she narrated her days of glory,

They could see her eyes with tears glisten,

They too could feel their eyes become Wet at her story.

You all want to see my Kingdom dream with me,

So with her they dreamed together,

And the wondrous kingdom,

And her palace they could see,

The children knew she was a queen, and not a commoner

The woman is dead, the has been,

She lies on the road side,

People mocked and said, thought she was a queen,

But the people wondered why their children cried.

The children cried at her death, for they would miss her,

The children knew she was no has been,

They knew that she was no commoner,

For she had shown them how to dream, to live like a queen.
