The Adoration
The Adoration
I would like to adore you
Like a priest adores his God
No matter what you are?
You are like a jewel in the mine of coal
Let me not do the sin of correcting you
You are like a fairy princess to me
Years may come, years may go
But my love for you will remain the same
You are like a flower
Which can't be owned
But can be adored
Let me be the pedestrian
Who adores it like nothing
I would be yourself forever
Let me keep my head
Upon your lap
Let me feel the peace
Let me not go like this
I am nothing without you
Let me be at your service
Let me find peace at this
I am a mere paltry thing
Give me your kind Heavenly touch
And make me immotal.
_my first composed poem.
