The Abusive Reality

The Abusive Reality

People say "look - so much makeup"; No one realizes it's to hide the bruises. People say look she's so stuck up, No one realizes her life is full of darkness.

She's a victim but isn't treated like one, He's a monster but isn't treated like one.

Her mom tells her to deal with it, Her sister tells her to bear the abuse. She has nowhere to hide, nowhere to retreat, Each day she seems nearer to the noose.

She doesn't want to tell her daughter, To just ignore the domestic violence."Women are born to be slaughtered", Isn't what she wants her son to learn.

Every house has screams echoing in the night, Every husband considers this crime his right.

She takes a decision. No matter what people or society says, She's not going to remain in this position, She's not going to get beaten always.

It's time she's treated with dignity and respect, It's time she wasn't treated like an object.

She takes a stand, for herself, For the generation to come, She files a complaint and for a divorce, It's time to open the doors for happiness and say "welcome".

New beginnings are in store, Now she would achieve and soar. Her suffering had stopped, she didn't have to endure, But the abuse still continued in the house next door.
