Scars To Your Beautiful
Scars To Your Beautiful

My scars are a part of me,
They’re a part of my personality,
They keep me free,
Even though they are my abnormality.
Each one showcases a war,
Won by me, year after year,
Each one reflects my bravery,
While facing my fear.
I am proud of them,
They signify a life, well spent.
The past has been dealt with,
I can handle my present.
My scars are beautiful,
Cause they’re my truth,
It’s a constant reminder,
That my life was eventful.
Hiding or avoiding,
Isn’t the answer,
Staying and fighting,
Is the right way of living.
I don’t care what people say,
I don’t care what society says,
My scars are a valid part of me.
For now – forever and always.
