TERRORIST
TERRORIST

Speaking to them, from thin air,
A voice, without a face!
Proved so often, without grace,
Such causes, today, rarely have a place!
In tones as dry,
And as for level as the task,
No one was cheered,
Nor anything discussed.
Tongue-tied on that blankness stood,
An unintelligible, multitude!
A thousand eyes, a thousand faces are in line;
Without expression, waiting for a sign!
And regiment after regiment,
They marched away,
Into the dust;
Holding a delusion-a belief,
Whose logic brought them,
Somewhere else-
To grief!
