Temporary Zombie
Temporary Zombie
When you stick to me as we ride the bike
I forget every other thing that I do like
Even though you cover your face during the ride
Even your eyes being visible makes me smile wide
We work in the same place but different domains
Watching you walk away gives me searing pains
You turn after walking a few steps every day, like clockwork
Your face now uncovered, your smile becomes my perk
When I stand with you, my heart is like a bumble bee
When you leave, I become a clueless Zombie
The zombie works for a while without a hunch
Waiting to meet her when it is time for lunch
Life comes back for a little while but leaves again
In just a little while the zombie will become a human again
The zombie works again, conscious but only about the time
With work being as important as sound to a mime
I see you again as we leave for home, still beautiful
Realizing that when I am with you, life is beautiful
