Tears
Tears
Searching for a reason for the crosses in a row,
Think of all those bodies of the boys you'll never know;
Lives that never finished, dreams that never lived,
Reasons to their parents that someone had to give;
Freedom is expensive but weapons are not cheap,
Their bodies escape their veins but the profits are to keep;
Guns and bullets are raised to reach a goal,
Some will give their lives and some will sell their souls;
Contracts of billions and how much for a life?
What about the children's and the soldier's widowed wife?
Freedom is expensive but weapons are not cheap,
But how much for the tears? That the widows endlessly weep?
