Tears of Rivers

When I meet river Ganga at her shore 

I saw tears in her eyes..

Tried to say it all in her voice 

I Found scattered garbage

Scratches on her beauty

Some cattle in the water 

Drinking drained water 

Mixing it in at the shores

She feels suffocated 

With the encroachment 

In the name of beautification 

On the edges of my shores 

Waste full of poison 

Drained in me

All my children’s devastation lives in me.

I lost my beauty 

Peace and purity 

Lost my freedom 

Of flow on the earth 

Don’t disturb me 

Don't make me a prisoner 

You called me Ma #mother 

So care for my health 

Waves Forever 

Let me live clean and clear

Pure for my arrival.
