sunshines and rose gardens

You kissed on my forehead and said it's "we" from now on

I held your hand and whispered let's move forward from now on

"We" started out with sunshines and rose gardens

But we moved swiftly sometimes leaving one another behind

Seasons passed roses withered dark clouds covered our souls

There were more bitter memories than sweet gestures

I wonder what happened to us.

Was it I? or was it him? or was it us?

You spoke less I cried more 

We moved backwards in different directions

But unexpectedly it happened on that beautiful day

We both laughed at our neighbour's fart

It was then you looked into my eyes and I saw myself in your eyes

Hands touched and a gentle kiss landed on my cheek

We started our journey again but this time we walked

We walked with no expectations.
