Stop
Stop
I said, 'stop',
Pause and see,
All of us are fighting our own battles,
Some with fear, some with insecurities,
Some to get approval, recognition or just to live,
There is stiff competition for air, water, space, and nationality,
We can help each other in the fight,
If we are a little sympathetic.
Hiding under the skin of love and hatred,
The demon has slipped in,
It is controlling the brains now and then,
The melancholy will swallow all of us soon.
Some battles are fought with the world around,
And some are fought within,
The demon becomes a disease and,
Gently crushes the desires and dreams.
I realized I am not alone,
Nor are the ones, I see on my way home.
Ones, who sit digging their heads in the cell phones,
Looking for approvals and appreciations,
Some live a fake life, losing real emotions.
Why are all fighting alone?
Let’s borrow strength from each other,
Let’s stop sighing and heaving over personal loss,
Let’s start talking and shoulder each other’s remorse,
Let’s hear the silent attacks and commotion of deep within.
