SORRY, BLAME IT ON ME
SORRY, BLAME IT ON ME
A poem inspired by Akon's song "Sorry, Blame It on Me":
Sorry, Blame It on Me
I'm the one who made the mistakes,
Hurt the ones I love, caused heartaches.
Blame it on me, take the fault,
My wrongdoings left scars that won't halt.
I should've been stronger, wiser too,
But my flaws led me astray from you.
My hands, they trembled, my heart did break,
Regretful choices made our love shake.
Blame it on me, I take the blame,
My mistakes, my shame, my endless pain.
I wish I could turn back time,
Erase the hurt, re-write our rhyme.
My apologies, sincere and true,
For all the tears I made you shed anew.
I'll rise above my past mistakes,
Learn from them, for our love's sake.
Blame it on me, but forgive my soul,
Give me another chance, make me whole.
I promise to love, honor, and adore,
Forever and always, forevermore.
