Snow

A thick blanket of snow, an even thicker blanket of love,

On me she rests, in me she lives.

Serene and free, her face like that of a dove.

Peering deep into my soul, a thousand births her eyes give,

To a broken me, as her lips curl,

Consuming every cell of mine, like an uncontrollable fire.

In her I find peace, like the whitest pearl.

Even though she is the most beautiful demon, the most passionate liar.

Like the most obedient child, she hugs me close.

Whispering words of ecstasy, stitching my serrations with her care.

And at that moment, I realise that she's worth all those lows

And highs, for her love, is the only thing I'll never share.
