Silver Sliver
Silver Sliver
A Silver sliver of the moon
From distances vast
Came floating down,
The wind caught it, in its arms
Slowly laid it on the ground,
A soft glow, stars in its folds
A universe of dreams throbbed
In the heart of the silver sliver.
A sobbing girl with dreams crushed,
Saw the whole scene unfold,
Rushed to the silver sliver as it lay
On the grass, an emblem of hope.
As gentle as gentle she could be,
Held it close, for a strength to face
Her fears, it gave her immensely.
A sign from the heavens to carry
On her journey, fighting her
Demons, ugly and dark.
A dawn, it heralded, of
Joy, faith and happiness for
Her in times to come.
A silver sliver of the moon
From distances vast.
