You used to make everyday feel like a thrilling adventure. You emitted light in me, by your Illuminant touch.

You were the reason I for once felt immensely loved. Never did it once cross my mind that the same

Man who once enlighted me would be the same man to dismantle my heart apart .

But my love for you still grew like a rocket ship blasting off.

Who knew, the painful burden

The never ending sorrows,

The blameful nights that once used to excite,

Turned into a persistent feeling of sadness and sleepless nights.

Only to find out your excuses were no longer white lies.

What did she have that I didn’t? Was it her natural long brown hair,

that brought attraction and left my short hair so worthless.

Was it the way she sent you pictures only to give you a time of pleasure and In your eyes

I was a displeasure

Was it her smaller waist that you preferred which caused me to

Skip meals because that was how you made me feel.

Was it that her thighs were smaller and nicer and mine are bigger and unpleasant.

Or was it the fact that the dress fits her body shape superbly and does the contrary for me. She was only a star within my entire galaxy, but to you she was the sun. All you wanted was a little fun, but you left me with eternally bleeding

Will I ever heal from this wave of insecurity hitting me over and over every time

I look in the mirror? Or will I overcome the tiny voices and battle everyday, ignoring what they say, so that the waves can no longer call victory and depression will no longer have its way?
