Seeta - The Silent Power Of Sufferings
Seeta - The Silent Power Of Sufferings
"Born from the holy divine power of mother Earth
Brought up by the noblest king of Mithila
Married to the embodiment of loyalty, virtue, kindness, and chivalry
Towards whom my fidelity and devotion reached no end"
"I hereby stand for justice
My Lord whose fortune I shared in dense forest
Walking ahead to crush all the thorns that lie on his way
Only to discover that I pushed myself in the deepest sea of sorrow"
"I, who became a victim of lustful eyes of Ravana
Confined yet adorned by my lord's glory
Miseries were like untiring waves one after the other
I who became subject to trial by fire
Only to prove my chastity, faithfulness, sacrifice that I held within myself
My chastity had the power to scorch the fire"
"But it was not enough
Banished from my own state
Abandoned by my own lord
I carried within myself the seeds
The lineage of my lord"
"Oh my mother Earth
Embrace me in your bosom
Comfort me
And free me from this cruel world
My words are not the helpless reaction of a slighted woman
But a spirited statement of protest
This world is beyond my endurance
Women are considered the subject of conquest
This world is not worthy of us
I hereby demand liberation. "
