Saffron - the colour of sacrifice

The tricolour is the name,

Of Indian national flag,

At the top is the saffron,

Which indicates,

The supreme sacrifices made,

By our freedom fighters to see this day.

It also indicates the courage,

Of the Indian nation,

The way we fought against colonialism,

And shown the light to the whole world.

The saffron also reflects,

That whole nation is always ready,

To serve the national cause.

The saffron also highlights,

The humility of our Indian brothers and sisters.

Ultimately it's the colour,

Which shows that the nation is supreme,

And the rest follows.
