Sacred River

Sacred waters.

Anoint my body.

They bless me with the gift of life

And with the grace of being a son of this river.

I can see myself growing up in and out of the bank.

I can hear the laughter of the stories told in the conversation circles, inside the river.

Life happens over time and takes us from places we swear to never leave.

But there are things that remain intact, protected by a mystical gap in space-time.

The peace that invades my heart and mind as soon as I enter my river is still the same.

I can feel it, but I can't explain it.

Deeply in love with the mysteries of this river.

The way it molds me and allows me to be a part as if I had never left.

I feel the warmth of the encounter, the departure, the bonds, the crying that fuse with me 

And run through my blue veins like the reflection of water.

I am densely part of the sacred energy that makes my heartbeat.

The meeting of the rivers made me who I am complete.
