Rose has thorns

Every rose has a thorn,

A hidden pain that's born,

Beneath the petals so soft,

Lies a sharpness that's often forgotten.

The beauty of the rose,

Is matched by its repose,

But beware the prickly guard,

That protects its fragile facade.

For though it may seem perfect,

This flower is not defectless,
