Rose Growing In Concrete

We are a rose growing in concrete.

Like every other human, I go through pain and defeat.

To some people, this is the worst part of life.

Saying “This is an unfair fight”.

But this fight gives me the strength to carry on.

That way the people that love me aren’t saying “why is she gone?”

I was told not to let the world corrupt me.

Because everyone has a different definition of free.

To me free is living in the moment.

And trying your best to hold on to it.

Because without these wonderful memories, there is no he, she, or we.

There is only the question going through your head of “why me?”

All I am trying to say is live life while you can.

Because there is no again.

So enjoy your life.

And help me help you not give up this mysterious fight, called life.
