Remembrance

I want to be remembered as someone

Someone you had met somewhere just like that,

But remembered post meeting, a tiny thought! 

In the back of your head, a gentle reminder

I want to be remembered as someone

Someone you had admired from far off,

Trying to get into my head, a puzzle!

That needed to be solved, an emotion

I want to be remembered as someone

Someone who inspired you to find your lost self,

Trying to find me for what I had become

A chapter in your story, a story itself

I want to be remembered as someone

Someone who you haven’t seen in a while,

Or heard from other about, busy!

In her own bubble they said, an enigma

I want to be remembered as someone

Someone you would want to remember

Have an itch to meet again to fill

The emptiness that I had left behind, a vacuum!
