You gave me your heart 

Now it's messing with my head 

I keep it, caged and secured 

Beating loud, raw and red. 

I hold it within

Like a precious stone 

And admire the bleeding colour 

Warming me to the bone. 

Red, the tint of passion and love 

And also a tinge of thick blood 

I feel the intensity of it in my soul 

My emotions turning into a flood. 

I touch the colour red and watch 

It slips from between my fingertips. 

And then I see you, a beauty incomparable. 

Blushing cheeks and parted red lips. 

I see every feeling, love and hatred 

Utter darkness and then bright light 

In your red clothes, I want to look at you 

Get blinded by your beauty and lose my sense of sight.
