Reading ,Writing Is My Drug

I am addicted of reading (books, articles etc), writing

computer surfing

because they take me to adventures and helps me explore

the world

Inside when I look, I see so many faces

Detective stories, there are so many cases

Oh how I love reading books

When I'm at home, I read two or three books

There's plenty of books here, from the ceiling to the ground

You read them like candy, you gobble them by the pound

I find them fascinating, exciting, a tool

I learn about a lot of things that I don't learn in school

I'd rather read books than learn how to be cool

Oh how I love reading books

In these books I learn so many things

Look at the knowledge that these books can bring

I even read one book, and it taught me how to sing

Oh how I love reading books

So if someone says, that reading books is for girls

They don't understand that reading rocks my world

It lifts me, spends me, sends me in a twirl

Oh how I love reading books

If they don't see now, they will in due time

I'll let them read one of these great books of mine

And after they finish, they won't be so blind

Then they'll say, I love reading books

About society, history, art, and nature

About friendship and family and

About memories: What’s on my mind

When the evening drifts into the limelight,

And it’s on days like these I like to write

When there is no rain, just moonshine,

Afterglow as an afterthought in the wind

That bears fruit on even the coldest nights

Which would otherwise yield nothing,

And it’s on days like these I like to write,

When the cicadas climb the trees

To sing their symphonies for a spell

Until their melodies harmonize as well

I'm addicted to computer surfing,

I just keep coming back,

I cannot leave it alone,

I may get up for a snack.

The internet my favorite tool,

I love to type in rhyme,

writing poetry all day long

I'm here most of the time.

It is hard to let go

Of knowing fun at hand,

I don't do much else,

I sit more than I stand.

I have my own poetic style,

My rhymes are spoken here,

I can't leave the computer long

My addiction keeps me near.
