Rainbow Dust

Rainbow Dust

Within the golden hues, heat radiates from the sky into his soul.

He basks in its glory.

The hot pink kisses of passionate love sent over the sapphire ocean.

Its waves carrying them to me.

They reach the shore.

Flutter over the green land, the fields, between the trees, and rest upon my lips like butterflies.

My red, eager lips open and accept them from him.

They enter my soul and the world changes.

I see hues of purple.

A creation of blue royalty infused with red desires.

Then the world came to life in colors.

Colors that his promise, his vow, brought to me.

Then, it was thrown away, to the wind.

And like the dusty chalk upon the streets the day after, what was once beautiful became blended together.

In a pallet of confusion.

A confusing pallet of colors that had been destroyed.

And I became confused.

Not possibly understanding.

As my world went black and white again.
