Quest For The Missing Soul

A lass, once vibrant, has changed,

Transformed into a living dead.

She giggles even at lame jokes,

Looking for pearls of happiness,

Searching beauty in ashes,

She cries invisible tears,

Pretending to be the strongest personality you've ever met.

I wonder where that vivacious girl went?

Diverted from the path of peace,

Lost in the dark dense forest of hatred,

Or died without being noticed.

Appreciable is her tolerance,

Impressive if her strength,

Heartbreaking is her story,

And unfulfilled are her dreams.

Sleepless her nights are,

Unhappy her smiles are,

She is out to search the real,

In the ocean of faces fake.

She is helping her haters,

For which no one cares.

Past was unbearable,

And Present isn't acceptable,

She isn't scared to step into her future.

With nothing to lose at all,

Her tears are uncountable

And Pain, Unfathomable!

She was amazingly cheerful and I miss her now.

Her words reflect distress,

Her smile hides storms.

But her "Infinite patience" for some sunshine in the rains,

Is the rainbow in her life's sky and

The spark that ignites the flame of hope in her heart

In her mate-less journey of life!
