Pure Intentions

There's a lot more to people

Than what you see

For what you see is only

What they show you. 

They plaster fake smiles

On their faces,

Hatred lingering

In their eyes. 

They speak most sweetly,

Musical to your ears,

Their throat, however,

Very sore. 

They listen with interest

To all you say

But inside, their eardurms

Are blasting. 

Never trust anybody,

However sure,

For you cannot judge if

Their intentions are pure.
