Prison Of My Mind
Prison Of My Mind
So many decades have passed
Within hushed shadows
And the veil of secrecy.
Three people,
Me, myself and I
Locked up inside this jar,
The prison of my mind.
None, including myself,
Have dared to unlock
The prison' s door.
A few moments, so rarely,
The bright colours
Of my being,
Would spill out
From the corners,
Unable to be contained
Like an uninvited,
But a pleasantly
Surprising guest.
These are the
Very few moments,
Which remind me
That am alive.
I yearn to taste the liveliness,
Chase after it blindly,
Without ever finding the key,
To unlock this prison' s door.
