Pride

When I came out,

Only a few close people knew about me, But when he came out,

His whole family came to know about him, He was outed by his then ex-boyfriend,

It was indeed heartbreaking, Coming out isn't easy,

Especially when there is lots of pride and prejudice

already, His family was supportive and understanding, And then I came into his life.

It takes lots of courage, struggles, emotions, and trust.

And then you feel the freedom and life,

When you decide to Because lots are coming up,

And you are here to live, not to survive.

They were okay with whoever he was, But they were also skeptical about his future,

Although, today we both are here, At this weird, barren, and monumental cave-like place,

Standing and walking beside him, and he joking around,

Every time I look at him, and he looks back at me, with those glittering face and moist eyes,

I remember those said feelings, and the pride we share...
