Preposition Poem

Preposition Poem

In her bridal dress

With red bindi

On her forehead

Beside her groom she sat

Beneath the ceremonial tent

Without fear

Of what the future held

for her

in an arranged marriage

Throughout calm remained

As the priest performed the rituals

In the presence

Of family and friends

To the sound of blowing conch shell
