Poor But Rich
Poor But Rich
It is a tale of two hearts - one with a love so fierce
And mine with a love that is still emerging.
Days passed, years passed, the fierce grew old out of love,
But all its love was imbibed by mine.
As soon as the emerging love started to believe in forevers,
The outrageous succumbed to retirement.
All the love, all the care, all the trust sowed deep inside mine, shattered,
And it was then when again little by little my mother implanted them.
Then I thought to myself, "May be I was too poor to afford his love
But I proved to be rich enough to afford my mother's."
