Perhaps

Perhaps in some different time zone,

In some alternate universe, where these constraints do not exist,

They did end up together, after all - the soulmates.

In a place where nothing really mattered except for

Their fervent love for each other, the type which 

Drowns you deeper into it's realms, 

Each passing moment. 

Perhaps, they did find their homes in each other,

Like they had always hoped to, where

They would stay content in each other's embrace, 

An embrace of impeccable affection, for a lifetime, and

Would never need to strive for a moment of peace together.

Perhaps, they did find a way for their hearts

To stay together forever, just like their souls always had been,

In that place, where,

They would not at all bear the guilt 

Of their hearts beating for the other, 

Incessantly in love.

Perhaps they did find such a place in some alternate universe,

Some different time zone, or

So I hope.
