My mind protested

But heart fell harder

And harder

Into the trap of your soulless eyes

Emptiness does equal depth

I had fooled myself

Yes repeated I

No repeated I

With every sentence, I mirrored you with a mask of me

And I fell harder and harder

Not knowing

What little it actually meant

For you

Still dared stepping, the slippery ground

Of your stoned heart

You blew like a wind

Throwing the clouds apart

Like a bee

Pulling the nectar card

And for the flowers

That I had nurtured

"It was a passing affair " you uttered.
