A peninsula with many a wonder
2 seas on either side
A land swept by rain and thunder
And forests endlessly wide.
A land of god
With temples, mosques and churches
A land were the wise men's foot plod
With names of Buddha and Gautama
And even millions of devotees abroad.
A land protected by the Himalayas in the North
And brave soldiers with endless fortitude
A land protected by men when called forth
And men that give up their lives to resolve many a dangerous feud.
A land where I feel proud to be born
A land I call Bharat
To serve the land I have sworn
A land I call Bharat.
