One Rainy Night
One Rainy Night
I like the town
On rainy nights,
Creating a curtain
between you
and my judging eyes.
Looking down upon you
from my self made high horse
Not bothering with Yin and Yang
Casting you in black
and me in white.
I like this town
On rainy nights.
It is quite
and loud
With thundering clouds
No soul to be seen
No person, no crowd.
Just these beautiful abominations
we call our homes
drenched
in a watery shroud.
And there is a peace
as I don't judge
and just rest my mind,
I like this town
On a rainy night.
But
there is something different today
Something not quite right.
I see the silence
just like always
but there is no peace tonight.
There is a restless turn
in the wind
The breeze, breathing
as if ready to take flight.
The roar of this Quiet...
Deafening!
This rustling stillness
Baffling!
From the watery curtains
of this one way glass
I see
the strangest sight.
A little way down
At the end of the tunnel
I see
A bright, white light...
