On a lotus leaf life’s heavenly abode,

Glitters and glistens like dazzled dew drops,

The smiles and smirks are like a moment’s flash,

Short-lived and fragile like a piece of glass.

Shaky breeze and stormy days,

The fear of shaking, breaking, rolling down to end.

With little quiver, sudden shiver or shudder,

The dew drops slips away,

And falls down like the tears.

So is life and its uncertain affairs.

As long as hope is there like lotus leaves,

Life breathes a sigh of relief.

Sad, hopelessness like storms in life,

Shakes and wobbles the dew drop of life.

Live a life that not attached to pain and pleasure,

Like the dew drop remains detached to its savior,

Even though they make the best vista ever.

They teach the life’s best lessons forever,

How to live with pleasure, pain, hope, and despair,

To face the storm staying calm, cool and composed.

It says, never get too attached to what comes,

It says, get too detached to what goes.

Let it come, let it go,

Touch the life staying untouched.

On a lotus leaf life’s heavenly abode.
